Sustainability is very important to us, so we have partnered with mission : net zero to support our sustainability commitments. mission : net zero works with our hotels to help them reduce their environmental impact and achieve internationally recognised ecolabel certifications. Many of our hotels have already, or are on the journey to, achieving Gold status with Green Tourism.
Glasgow Declaration On Climate Action in Tourism
Axiom Hospitality is proud to be a signatory of the Glasgow Declaration on Climate Action in Tourism. As a signatory of the Glasgow Declaration, we commit to deliver plans aligned with the pathways to cut tourism emissions in half over the next decade and reach Net Zero emissions as soon as possible before 2050.
Axiom Hospitality commits to:
- Support the global commitment to halve emissions by 2030 and reach Net Zero as soon as possible before 2050;
- Deliver climate action plans within 12 months from becoming a signatory (or updating existing plans), and begin implementing them;
- Align plans with the five pathways of the Declaration (Measure, Decarbonise, Regenerate, Collaborate, Finance) to accelerate and co-ordinate climate action in tourism;
- Report publicly on an annual basis on progress against interim and long-term targets, as well as on ac tions being taken;
- Work in a collaborative spirit, sharing good practices and solutions, and disseminating information to encourage additional organisations to become signatories and supporting one another to reach targets as quickly as possible.

The Hoteliers' Charter
The Hoteliers’ Charter was founded to raise the profile of the hospitality industry and advocate working in hotels as a great career choice. Through the charter, members collectively make a commitment to providing a workplace environment built on the foundations of respect, fairness, equality, diversity and opportunity; and to placing colleagues’ wellness and career development at the heart of our operations. By being a part of Hoteliers’ Charter, Axiom Hospitality commits to:
- Commit to developing team members through training, apprenticeships, coaching and mentoring, positioning hotel roles as careers, not just jobs.
- Support The Hospitality Commitment to respect team members’ work/life balance, rotas and working hours,providing sufficient notice for changes and requests. As our members trade seven days a week, a range of shift patterns are available to support working families, students and part time working.
- Support the ambition to end low pay, believe passionately in giving people opportunities to develop their careers, and give access to financial and pension guidance.
- Champion a fair and transparent service charge/tronc/gratuities system where all monies are distributed with only agreed costs retained.
- Offer colleagues access to an employee assistance programme, to provide confidential support across all facets of their physical and mental wellness, both in and outside the workplace.
- Provide a positive and nourishing workplace environment and culture for colleagues, nurturing social networks around their teams and facilitating social activities to build cohesive workplace communities.
- Support industry charities, and other charities relating to the community they serve, respecting and encouraging colleagues’ commitments to additional community endeavours.
- Drive environmentally sustainable businesses with a commitment to reduce, reuse and recycle, and champion the government’s commitment to be carbon neutral by 2050.
- Advocate diversity, inclusion and equality, offering English lessons to colleagues where required and taking practical measures to make hotels accessible for all disabilities.
- Commit to the Modern Slavery Act and ensure that all suppliers act in accordance with the core values of the Hoteliers’ Charter and The Hospitality Commitment.

Part of the community
Our hotels strive to be active members of their local communities by giving back where they can. Supporting local charities is important to our teams, from volunteering at soup kitchens, to collecting donations and fundraising. Our hotels aim to leave a positive impact in their neighbourhoods. At Axiom Hospitality we are working closely with our stakeholders to support our social impact commitment. Caring about people extends outside our business and is part of our DNA.
Axiom Hospitality is proud to be a Carefree breakmaker. In the UK, 80% of home care is unpaid. It is provided by a hidden workforce of 9 million remarkable individuals, 2 million of whom provide full-time care. A short break can be life-changing for a carer, yet the majority rarely manage to take time off. Government support is scarce and with little possibility of generating an income on their own, a break becomes an unaffordable luxury. Nearly half of all carers haven't had time off in the last 5 years. How can we help? By donating our rooms when they are not occupied, and our Truly Talented team making their break truly memorable. Hotel stays are 1-3 nights for one carer plus companion with breakfast included. Breaks are listed on Carefree's fully automated booking platform, which is only accessible by verified carers.
